DRINKING AGAIN Dinah Washington Dinah '62 Roulette : 1962 [Buy It]
It was Friday night. I was thinking about my grandma, who was basically a mail-order bride, and wondering what that felt like. LOVE HANGOVER (RADIO EDIT) Diana Ross Motown 7" : 1976 [Buy It]
That's where the drinking was so important. Things proceeded as expected, until we hit a fatal snag.
TOO DRUNK TO FUCK Dead Kennedys Alternative Tentacles 7" : 1981 [Buy It]

SHAME Evelyn "Champagne" King RCA 12" : 1977 [Buy It]
And Saturday night, there I was, drinking again, praying for early menopause to give me back my dignity. What was this phantasm of pleasure that had enslaved me?
SOUL MASTER Edwin Starr Soul Master Motown : 1968 [Buy It]
Touch me, Lord! Deliver me from this slow drip of Fridays, I cried. And then, as in a glass, darkly, I saw it - the face of my future salvation.
DIGNIFIED AND OLD The Modern Lovers The Modern Lovers Bersekeley : 1976 [Buy It]
I held myself for comfort. Someday, I promised, cooing tenderly in my own ear, someday you'll be sixty and none of this will matter anymore.Labels: megan
