I flew in from Nairobi yesterday - a twenty-hour flight through Dubai, which is also to say, a twenty-hour break in news cycles spent glued to the BBC, watching the flood waters rise in New Orleans. Africa is too much to get into here (though I will say that, inexplicably, both Kenny Rodgers & Kenny G. are national heroes in Kenya). But the flood I'll post a few songs about, if only to encourage you to contribute something to relief efforts: The American Red Cross web site makes it especially easy to donate, and FEMA recommends cash donations in lieu of clothing or canned goods. Moistworks doesn't ask its readers for much. Honestly, we're not even sure we have readers. But if you happen to be reading this today, please give what you can.
